Building the next generation of Hispanic engineers

What We Do

Four ways we show up for our members

Professional growth, a community that feels like home, service that reaches beyond campus, and a national network behind all of it.

Professional Development

Resume workshops, mock interviews, and recruiting events help members prepare for internships and full-time roles. We try to make sure students are ready before recruiting season begins.

Community & Familia

SHPE is a community within Penn where students can find mentors, friends, and support. Our familia system connects younger students with upperclassmen who can help them navigate classes, recruiting, and campus life.

Community Service

We give back through STEM outreach, tutoring, and events with local students and families. Programs like Noche de Ciencias help make engineering feel more accessible to the next generation.

SHPE National

Membership connects students to a nationwide network of SHPE members, scholarships, career resources, and the annual SHPE National Convention. The convention is also a major opportunity to meet employers and explore internships and full-time roles.
